Embodying the Folk Songs of Mr. Greg and Cass Mccombs
(Grade Level TK-2)
8 weeks
Explore the worlds of Ella Jenkins, Harvey Milk, Deciduous Trees and more in this joyful and engaging residency. Through music, movement, discussion, and improvisation, students bring meaning and fun to folks songs. The program culminates in a public performance in Old Mill Park's outdoor amphitheater.

Should children vote? Political Puppetry!
(Grade Level 3-6)

What would happen if children had the right to vote? Would we live in a candy utopia or finally offer universal healthcare? Students will create original puppet characters using recycled materials, learn about the history of political puppetry, and perform short skits imagining a world where kids have a say in democracy.

Exploring and Making Docu-Theatre!
(Grade Level 7 - High School)

Led by a professional Docu-Theatre artist, students explore real-life events as source material for original theatre. Through research, interviews, and collavorative writing, students will develop a script based on lived experience and current events--using the Verbatim Theatre model as developed by Moisés Kaufman and the Tectonic Theater Project.

Performing Monologue & Personal Storytelling
(Middle and High School Students)
Looking to polish your monologue or get ready for auditions? This 8-session course meets weekly for two hours and explores vocal warmups, improv, creative writing, and personal storytelling. Students will finish with a fully developed and rehearsed original monologue--performed live on our Main Stage!
Every Thursday Evening from 4-6pm
October 9 - November 20; Performance Friday Nov 21st
