Marie Satterfield is Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Rothy’s, a San Francisco-based company transforming sustainable materials into modern shoes and accessories. Inspired by Rothy’s commitment to innovation, Marie helps protect Rothy’s intellectual property and navigate legal complexities as the company scales into its next phase of global growth.

Marie has served since March 2024 on the Board of Ready, Set, Safe!, a non-profit focused on child safety.

Prior to joining Rothy’s in 2019, Marie served for five years as SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Charlotte Russe, a fast-fashion retailer with over 550 stores and a robust e-commerce channel. Prior to that, Marie spent six years at Sephora, where as the second attorney to join the legal department she helped shepherd the retailer’s growth and voracious appetite for adopting new retail technology.

Marie began her career as a corporate attorney at Latham & Watkins, focusing on capital markets work in both the London and San Francisco offices. She is a graduate of Stanford Law School and the University of Georgia. Marie lives in Mill Valley with her husband and two children, where she enjoys hiking, growing flowers, and planning her family's next travels.
