Daniel is thrilled to continue his career as an educator here at MTC, after serving as a teaching artist at The Dallas Theater Center and Trinity Repertory Company in Providence, RI, where he is also a member of the Resident Acting Company. As a professional actor, he has acted at theaters regionally and off-broadway, including WP Theater, Second Stage, The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and Dallas Theater Center. He holds A BA from UC Berkeley and and MFA in acting from Brown University/Trinity Rep.
“The value of arts education, to me, has nothing to do with practicality. it’s never had anything to do with whether or not a person pursues a career as an actor, or a writer, or a painter, whatever it is. The value of engaging yourself in an art is always that moment that sneaks up on you in the process, when you feel a little bit taller, you burn a little brighter, your reach reaches further, and you take up the space around you in a completely different way: the moment you locate the art in yourself. That’s the thing you take out of the classroom and into the world. That is the thing that matters.” - Daniel Duque-Estrada
