Melissa Ortiz is overjoyed to make her MTC debut. She is a producing artistic director for ShotzSF as well as a PlayGround company member. Bay Area acting credits include Mistress Overdone and Mariana in Measure for Measure (Theatre Lunatico), Ensemble in The Best of PlayGround 22 and 19 and Emily in Value Over Replacement (PlayGround), Masha in Seeds and Masha in The Seagull (Utopia Theatre Project), Celine in The Moonrisers, Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet (The Free Theatre), and the title role in Miss Julie (AmiosWest). Favorite roles include Rhonda in Surf City, Shirley in Fifth of July, Edward and Victoria in Cloud 9, and Echo in Eleemosynary. Melissa received her MFA in acting from the National Theatre Conservatory in Denver. She sends her love to her very amazing family and her totally awesome husband.
