As protocols to protect against COVID-19 continue to evolve, Marin Theatre Company commits to audience policy that allows for both protocol-appropriate evolution and continued protection and safety.

For the 2023-2024 season, masks for audience members are optional but strongly encouraged for many performances. We will still have performances where masks are required to support access needs.

Masks will be required for all Wednesday 7:30pm performances as well as Thursday Perspectives performances at 1:00pm. Masks will remain optional but strongly encouraged at all other performances throughout the season. Please note that this policy is subject to change.

Though the policy applies for the full season, show dates for masks-required as well as a separate list of show dates for masks-optional performances are listed below:

Wednesday 9/6 7:30p Performance

Wednesday 9/13 7:30p Performance

Wednesday 9/20 7:30p Performance

Mask specifics for the above mask-required dates: Patrons must wear an appropriate face mask at all times while attending the show. MTC encourages using N95, KN95, surgical masks, or three-layer cloth masks while in the building. Neck gaiters and bandanas will not be acceptable face coverings for the performance.

MTC has also put the following safety measures in place:

  • We have upgraded our ventilation systems, which now exceed the recommended standard for COVID-19 protection.
  • The theatre, lobby area, and restrooms will be cleaned and disinfected after every performance.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the lobby area and restrooms.
  • Digital programs. We will continue to provide insightful information on the performance and artists in a digital program, with one-sheets available with general information about our cast and crew; you will receive a link to the program with your ticket confirmation.

We look forward to safely, respectfully, and joyfully welcoming you to our theatre this season! Together, we can enjoy the unforgettable shared experience of live performances. We promise to be patient and kind in our interactions with audiences, and we appreciate you playing your part in keeping yourself, your fellow audience members, and our staff, volunteers, and artists safe.
