Based upon the recent guidance from the State of California and Marin County's Public Health Department regarding large gatherings, on Thursday, March 12th MTC had to make the difficult decision to cancel all remaining performances of Kate Cortesi's Love through March 29th, move our annual fundraiser, Gala53! The Play's the Thing, online, and suspend all Spring education programming due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). This is a critical time to prioritize the safety and health of our patrons, employees, artists, and students, and we feel this is the most responsible action to take.

Keep scrolling for more information on the status of all current and upcoming programming! We will be updating this page regularly as this situation continues, and as we have more information to share.

The health and safety of you, our valued patrons, and our employees, artists, and students is of utmost importance. We have shuddered our doors and all staff are working remotely until Marin County lifts its "shelter in place" order. We will continue to follow the guidance of local health authorities and the Centers for Disease Control and Preventionbut please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

Be well, and we look forward to seeing you back at the theatre again soon!
Jasson Minadakis, Artistic Director | Jenna Deja, Interim Managing Director

As a nonprofit arts organization, MTC relies heavily on the support of donors, subscribers, and single-ticket buyers. Individual support from patrons like you is crucial to our organization’s existence and MTC along with other arts organizations locally and globally are experiencing significant losses due to the impact of COVID-19.

We hope you will consider buying a Virtual Ticket to stream a recorded performance of Love today!

If you are a current ticket holder, you do not have to purchase a Virtual Ticket to stream the performance. More info on how to access our streaming content coming in early April! Please also help us spread the word on our streaming content and invite your friends far and wide to purchase a Virtual Ticket so they can take advantage of this unique opportunity to engage with and support us from beyond the Bay!

If you are a current ticket holder and are not interested in watching a recording of a live performance of Lovewe hope you will consider donating your tickets to the theater for a tax-deductible donation.

Our annual fundraiser, Gala53! The Play's the Thing has gone VIRTUAL!

Each year, MTC depends on our annual fundraising gala to celebrate accomplishments and to raise critical funds necessary to keep our artistic and educational programs thriving. However, this year due to the uncharted waters of the COVID-19 health emergency and the mandated “shelter in place” order, we’ve had to cancel our annual fundraiser Gala53!

We hope you will consider participating in our VIRTUAL Gala53!

Please also help us spread the word on this exciting VIRTUAL event and invite your friends far and wide to bid April 3rd-6th so they can take advantage of this unique opportunity to engage with and support us from beyond the Bay!

All Spring Education programming has been suspended. More information on Summer Cap programming coming soon.

Participating in theater is a transformative experience for people of all ages. Nothing else requires such an exciting combination of commitment, imagination, teamwork, discipline, creativity and passion. Approximately 8,500 students from over 50 Bay Area schools participate in our education programs each year.

We hope you will continue to stay in touch with us on social media
