Musical Theatre Bootcamp (Grades 1-3)

This class will focus on developing singing, dancing, and acting skills. Students will learn what it takes to be a part of a musical through choreography and music. Students will get a taste of different musical theatre styles and the difference between acting for a play and a musical!

Our Fundamentals of Acting series adapts the skill sets and strategies of contemporary actors working today into a comprehensive foundation of skills based around play and storytelling. Students will take an in-depth, hands-on look at scenes and monologues to understand how individual scenes and characters make up a whole story.

Musical Theatre Cabaret (Grades 4-6)

Students take the spotlight as they learn what it takes to be a part of a musical through choreography and music. While our Musical Theatre Bootcamp is geared toward building ensemble skills, this class gives each student the chance to be up front and center stage to perform their own songs!

Acting for the Camera (Grades 4-12)

Film acting and stage acting may have some things in common, but there are quite a few differences as well! In this class, students will learn audition skills, focus on character building within scenes and monologues, learn improvisation techniques vital to the audition process, and even develop skills working with a professional photographer!

Have an itch to work your funny bone? In our newly offered Improv Class, students will learn the elusive art of improvised theatre through games and scenarios designed to sharpen one’s ability to think on their feet and agree to unplanned, unscripted material that can launch from normal to wacky in seconds.

The Actor’s Toolbox: The Character’s Actions (Grades 6-12)

Every great actor has a toolbox full of tips and tricks to ensure a great performance. The Actor’s Toolbox series helps young performers assemble their own kit to hone their craft. In our  Character’s World class, students will learn the art of bringing any character to life through techniques like creating backstory, establishing relationships, physicality, and putting them into action through select scene work and monologues.

Cancellation and Withdrawal Policy

If there is insufficient enrollment, the class may be cancelled at the sole discretion of Marin Theatre Company. Tuition received for classes cancelled by MTC will be refunded in full.

No refunds will be given past the registration deadline for each class.
