The Subject Tonight is Love

For its season closer, Marin Theatre Company is  proudly presenting the West Coast premiere of "The Subject Tonight Is Love",  beautifully written by North Carolina playwright Sandra Deer.  This  one-act drama concerns a grandmother, Ruby, her middle-aged daughter, diana,  and her adult grandson, Josh -- a family that has had its problems.   But, the biggest problem of all has risen -- ruby's onset of alzheimer's  disease.  Although naturally upsetting the family members, it has  brought them together with ruby's failing memory and sudden temper, and  Diana and josh coping with the situation while finding things out about  their family that they've never known before.  With it all, humor has  been cleverly and wisely added.  Unforgettable performances are  provided by Wanda McCaddon as ruby, Julia Brothers as Diana, and Anthony  Veneziale as josh.  This is a tender, heartwarming story that brought  many a tear to the eyes of the audience.  It is delicately directed to  perfection by MTC's new Artistic Director, Jasson Minadakis.  "The  Subject Tonight Is Love" is now playing At Marin Theatre Company in Mill  Valley thru June 10th, and well worth a trip over the Golden Gate Bridge to  see.  It is absolutely  superb.
