Swashbuckling adventure, a few mistaken identities, and a romance to cheer for are at the heart of this adaptation of a 17th century Montfleury masterpiece by acclaimed playwright John Strand. Julie is mercilessly abandoned by her husband when he suspects her of infidelity. Confused, lost, and ready for revenge, Julie returns to town to confront her spouse, disguised as a young cavalier. When she learns he is courting a new bride, she vaults into the romance as a rival suitor for the young woman’s hand. Throw in a crazed Spanish Conquistador, some rollicking swordfights, and an execution and you have all the ingredients for a fabulous holiday adventure!

"... buoyant bounty of bright comic acting, sharp wit, fractured rhymed couplets, delicious design and serious undertones about the thin line between love and hate and the need for trust."

"... extremely well presented by a superb ensemble cast of seven well-chosen actors. It's also loaded with laughs. There is a cleverly constructed set, perfect period costumes plus ideal sound and lighting. "
